Bar mitzvah dedicated to memory of the Holocaust victim from the Lostice area




Members of the Congregation Hakafa in Glencoe (Illinois, USA) Zachary Berger and his family dedicated bar mitzvah to the memory of Alice Festova, which was one of the youngest victims of the Holocaust from the Lostice area. They also made a donation to Fanny Neuda Prize Fund. Rabbi Bruce Elder and his Congregation use the Scroll which was originally kept in the Lostice synagogue. During 2007 the Foundation Respect and Tolerance created a new website and put together education programs on DVD and CD titled „Remembering Jewish Families from Lostice, Mohelnice and Usov”. Programs were produced tanks to the financial assistance from the Foundation for Holocaust Victims in Prague and are available to students free of charge.
