September 2008 On Friday September 5 the newly restored stained glass windows from the Olomouc synagogue were presented to public in the Lostice city hall. The Mayor dr. Ctirad Lolek was present during the ceremony and Czech TV broadcasted three reports about the windows, which are now part of the Respect and Tolerance collection. Foundation for Victims of Holocaust shared the cost of restoration of this set of windows, which were made in 1897 for the Olomouc Synagogue. The synagogue was destroyed by Nazis in March 1939.
